 SEMESTER-V

Programme Structure:

  1. One paper in Ecoomics.
  2. One paper each in two Commerce subjects (other  than that selected as Major).
  3. Three papers in a subject under Majpr category from the list notified by the University.
  4. Two Papers on Skill-based subject/s selected from the list notified by the University.

(note: Topics for the project work, to be completed in Semester –VI, shall be given  in Semester-V. The candidate shall be required to carry out work for the Project during Semester-V & VI. The assessment of the project will be carried at the end of Semester-VI)

   SEMESTER-VI

  1. Programme Structure:
  1. One paper in Economics.
  2. Two papers in the same Commerce subjects as offered in Semester-V
  3. Three papers in the same Major category subject as offered as Semester-V
  4. One Project Paper on the given topic preferably related to any paper at (ii) or (iii) in semester-V
  5. Instructional Periods:Each paper in (i),(ii) and (iii) above (total six papers) shall have fiveinstructional periods per week. The project Paper shall have instructional periods as defined in the Project Manual.
  6. Maximum Marks: The six papers under (i),(ii) and (iii) above shall carry 100 marks each, whereas the Project Paper shall carry 100 marks. 

MASTER OF COMMERCE

Narayan Zantye college of Commerce was established in the year 1994 by Zantye Brothers Educational Foundation,Bicholim. Ours is the only College which is offering M.Com Programme in Bicholim & Sattari Talukas. The College offers  M.Com. in two specifications ie.(i)Accounting & Finance and (ii)Business Management. Our College has been running B.Com.Programme of Goa University successfully with a result of above 94% for the last 17 years. The College provides advanced physical infrastructure for teaching & learning and it has highly learned,experienced & dedicated teaching faculty to meet the requirements of the students.

Eligiblity Criteria 

The canddate must pass the bachelor in Bachelor in Commerce examination with minimum of 40% aggregate. The total number of seats is 40. The number of reserved seats will be as per Goa University guidelnes, and will be intimated subsequently. Candidates will be admitted strictly on merit basis. The programme structure, Grading and the Scheme of Examinations will be as stipulated by the University and will be announced subsequently by the college.

Fee structure for the academic year 2016-2017 

The fees wll be charged as per guidelines of Goa University and Drectorate of Higher Education, Govt. of Goa.

Summer Training

At the end of 2nd semester, every student will undergo 4 weeks (10th May to 10th June) summer training to gain on the job experience in Commercial / Industrial Organizations / Finance & Invetment Companies / Professional firms like CA's, stock Brokers, Project Management Consultants / Small and medium enterprises in Goa or outside. At the end of the summer training candidate will have to produce the certificate of experience for a duration of 4 weeks to become eligible for admission to second year M.Com. Programme. 


PH.D.IN COMMERCE

Zantye College Research Centre offers Ph.D Program in Commerec affiliated to Goa University.

Currently Ph.D Research Scholars pursue their Research in the area of finance, Human Resourse, financial management, Human Resource Management,Marketing Management and international business.

Dr. K.G. Sankarnarayanan is a Director of Zantye College Research Centre and the research guide of the research centre. Presently he is guiding 07 Ph.D students at Zantye college research centre and 01 Ph.D student in the department of Management studies in Goa University.

OTHER PROGRAMMES


I.C.M.A.I. FOUNDATION PROGRAMME

This Programme leads to the qualification of AICMAI (Associate of the Institute of Cost &
Management Accountant), which is in high demand in the industry, academics and also public services.
The Programme has to be completed in three stages i.e. Foundation Programme, Intermediate and
Final stage. Students even at intermediate stage of this Couse can find highly rewarding career
opportunities.
Narayan Zantye College conducts the Foundation Programme classes on weekends i.e., Saturday afternoons and on Sundays through expert faculty derived from the industry and reputed academic Institutions.
Eligibility: Students who have passed Std. XIIth of any recognized board from any stream are eligible to join this Programme.
The examinations for Foundation Programme are conducted twice in a year in the month of June and December on All India Basis. It is advisable that First Year B. Com Students undertake the Foundation Programme of I.C.M.A. along with their regular graduation studies, as they can be in the higher stages of I.C.M.A. when they acquire B. Com Degree.


C.A. - C.P.T.

CPT is an Entry level test for chartered Accountancy Programme. Only registered students can appear in CPT after he / she has appeared Std. XIIth examination. Examination will be in the month of December and June. Classes of CPT programme will be conducted on weekends i.e. Saturday, Sunday or holidays through expert faculties derived from reputed institutions. Under CPT students are required to pass the following subjects.
